Great speakers are able to excite and reassure their audience in equal measure. They understand the rules of engagement: to turn words into action you have to be clear about your story and shape it round the people you’re trying to persuade. Having a good story builds your confidence, as does learning how to harness fear. Fear is energy: re-purposing it as passion makes for a truly engaging performance. The rest is simple.
